ROYCE’ Retail Store: Select City Walk

Select City Walk Mall, Delhi

Space, material, light, balance, form and color. A space is created that articulates a dialogue between a series of structural, fluid and compositional layers in an extremely compact and efficient footprint. The chocolate brand itself appears understated and simple but the experience complex, layered and rich.

The visual elements use this ‘simple-complexity’ as a metaphor for organizing themselves within the space. The juxtaposition of highly technology driven materials like white Corian interlace with traditional Teak surfaces and volumes playing not only with mass, volume and surface but with light and material textures to change immediate perceptions for the visitor. The site presented a unique challenge of an extremely small footprint with access to exterior and interior entries and pushed us to develop a unique space planning an aesthetic strategy to attract customers to the store.
